Common Questions
Who are the mentors at After the Break?
Our mentors are real people, probably like yourself. They are wives, moms, teachers, accountants, executives, you name it. They have been through their own real life betrayals and have a proven track record of helping others in the same situation. They are NOT therapists or certified counselors - we intentionally do not hire these.
We protect the identity of our mentors just like we protect your identity. Many of our mentors do not wish for their betrayals to become public knowledge.
What can I expect during a session?
Our introductory sessions are designed longer (90 minutes) - this gives our clients the opportunity to discuss their betrayal trauma journey and to discuss the goals of having a mentor. During this session, our mentors will discuss what to expect in ongoing sessions, based on your unique situation and goals.
What kind of betrayal do your mentors have experience with?
Our mentors have a wide range of experience with betrayal types. Whether your betrayal was from a romantic partner, family member, friend, workplace or institution - After the Break understands.
