For ten years, Mentor M thought her marriage was solid—anchored in love, shared values, and mutual respect. But everything changed when she discovered her husband’s long-hidden struggle with pornography addiction. The betrayal wasn’t just in what he had done, but in the years of secrecy. It shook her deeply.
They separated for over a year. In that time, she was forced to confront the whirlwind of emotions that followed: intense self-doubt, deep resentment, bursts of anger, waves of sadness, and moments of crushing frustration. She often felt isolated—wanting to talk, but not wanting to burden friends or family who couldn’t fully understand.
She tried therapy, but at over $500 a month with no insurance coverage, it quickly became unsustainable.
That’s when she found After the Break. There, she connected with Mentor J, who helped her unpack the betrayal, sort through the chaos of her feelings, and begin to rebuild her emotional foundation. The support, empathy, and shared experience she found gave her the strength to move forward.
With time—and with ATB’s help—she found the courage to forgive her husband. They’ve been working on reconciliation for over a year now. It’s not perfect; there are good days and hard ones. But it’s honest, and it’s healing.
Today, Mentor M serves as a guide to other women walking through betrayal. She openly shares her journey and gives back what she once needed most: understanding, support, and hope. She’s deeply grateful for what ATB gave her, and she’s honored to walk beside others as they rebuild.
